OrthADAPT® Bioimplant

OrthADAPT® Bioimplant is a surgical mesh which has gained acceptance in orthopedic soft tissue repair. OrthADAPT® Bioimplant is designed to reinforce tendon repair or reconstruction. When used to reinforce rotator cuff repair, OrthADAPT® has been shown to reduce time to full range of motion and return to full activity when compared to a non-reinforced control group.1

Orthopedic Applications

This movie requires Flash Player 9
OrthADAPT® Bioimplant is a highly organized Type I collagen matrix indicated for orthopedic soft tissue repair. The bioimplant is flexibly crosslinked and sterilized using proprietary technologies that make it resistant to premature enzyme degradation, biocompatible, and safe.

Highly Organized Type I Collagen
Unlike reconstituted collagen products, OrthADAPT® Bioimplant is derived from native equine pericardium. This highly organized Type I collagen matrix has a long history of use in implantable medical devices. The inherently superior physical properties enable this pliable <1mm thick xenograft to be securely and reliably sutured to host tissues to reinforce complex soft tissue repair or reconstruction.
