OrthADAPT® Bioimplant was launched in 2005. This collagen scaffold has rapidly gained acceptance in orthopedic surgical applications for the reinforcement or augmentation of soft tissues. The OrthADAPT® Bioimplant allows for a stronger repair over time and has the potential for minimal pain and swelling. A growing and active aging population is demanding solutions to return them from surgery to life activities faster and stronger- this is our pursuit.
Unite® Biomatrix was launched in 2006 and was developed to provide an advanced biologic solution for chronic wounds. Elevated levels of proteases in chronic wounds have made traditional collagen dressings susceptible to rapid enzymatic breakdown, often requiring multiple reapplications. Flexibly crosslinked with proprietary technologies, the Unite® Biomatrix can be easily applied to the wound bed and is able to resist premature degradation caused by these elevated levels of enzymes. Clinical use suggests that this collagen dressing helps maintain the wound bed in the healing phase to allow for healthy granulation tissue and wound closure.
